The Kasteelpoort Hike is a climb up to the top with a relatively flat walk at the top and then a steep downhill back to the start.
We started from Theresa Ave, Rontree Estate in Camps Bay and then headed up towards the Pipe Track and then up the Kasteel Poort Pass were we had tea on a slab over looking Camps bay and then further up to stop at the ruins of the old Cable Car Station dating back to 1893. From here we walked to the 2 dams and visited the Museum at the top of Table Mountain and back down again. We started at about 9:30 and were back down by 4:30. The small waterfalls were lovely but the path was rather wet and slippery.
