We started close to the Suikerbosie restaurant, heading towards Orange Kloof with stunning views over Hout Bay, Little Lions Head and Llandudno. We walked through an indigenous forest to the 1st waterfall at Myburgh’s Kloof were we had a tea stop. From here we will headed on towards the 2nd waterfall, Myburgh’s Waterfall Ravine, for our lunch break. These waterfalls only flow in winter.
This hike is most definitely child friendly. We even passed a young couple carrying a baby and a 4 year old walking with them. If you take it slow they can easily make it to the 1st waterfall in about an hour and a half. The 2nd waterfall is a bit further and I will suggest the kids be a bit older 🙂
There were quite a few different mushrooms. If you take the kids, make sure to tell them NOT to touch them!!
The 1st Waterfall on our hike. They are really beautiful.
The various protea’s in bloom.
